What is ReFirme™?
ReFirme™ is a non-invasive method of tightening the skin and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
How does the treatment work?
A medical professional applies the device to the skin, delivering infrared energy that heats the collagen as the skin surface is cooled. This causes the skin to lift and tighten. The skin will continue to tighten over the next couple of months.
What are the results?
Fine lines are reduced, deep lines are diminished and skin appears healthier and younger.
How many treatments are required?
You may see results after one session. The best results are achieved with multiple treatments.
Are there any possible side effects?
You may experience some redness or swelling for the first few hours after treatment. There is a slight chance of bruising.
Will there be any downtime?
No, you may immediately return to your daily routine.
How soon will results appear?
Some results can be seen immediately, and additional results will appear over the next few months. The best results appear when the procedure is repeated in a month.
How long does a ReFirme™ treatment last?
The typical session lasts about an hour.
Who are candidates for ReFirme™?
ReFirme™ can be used on clients of any skin type who wish to achieve a more youthful look. Any part of the body may be treated.
Who should avoid ReFirme™?
Viral outbreaks may be triggered in those who have previous infections. Severely aged skin with extreme wrinkling will not respond well to ReFirme™. You should not receive ReFirme™ while pregnant.
How does the treatment feel?
ReFirme™ works by heating the skin, so you will feel some warmth. Any discomfort ceases immediately with each pulse.
How long do the results last?
Results may last up to two years. Your skin’s natural resiliency will determine how long your improved look lasts.
Is additional treatment necessary?
You may choose to have additional sessions if you wish to further your results.
What are the limitations of ReFirme™?
Severely aged skin with extreme wrinkling will not respond well to ReFirme™.
Instructions for before treatment:
Discontinue use of Accutane®, Retin-A®, glycolic acid and alpha-hydroxy acid products before your treatment. Avoid sun and sunless tanning for four weeks. Do not take aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medications for at least three days before your session. You cannot be treated while you have open infections or sores in the area.
Instructions for after treatment:
Aside from applying sunscreen, no additional considerations are necessary unless otherwise advised by your technician.
